- He must ensure, in all possible ways that the vehicle cannot move.
- That the auxiliary (parking/hand) is secured until the wheel is taken off, and then released while the new wheel is installed.
- That the auxiliary (parking/hand) brake is released until the wheel is taken off, and then tightened while the new wheel is installed.
- That the auxiliary (parking/hand) is free and released, and that the vehicle is in low gear during the entire course of the wheel change.
